For those employees expected to identify, isolate and assist in the evacuation of employees, HazMat Solutions has designed this program to teach chemical protective clothing selection and usage in order to contain or cleanup an incidental spill.
If your company would like the quickest response to a chemical release in an effort to rescue employees and minimize damage to the facility or the environment, then a 24 or 40-hour HazMat Technician Training Program will be required.
If your facility chooses to have an organized HazMat Team, then at least one of the team members needs to be trained at the Incident Command Level. This person implements the Incident Action Plan and manages any chemical spill at the facility.
If you are required to work on an uncontrolled Hazardous Waste Site (Superfund Site) you must have a 40 hour HAZWOPER training class as per 29 CFR 1910.120. This class teaches PPE and respiratory selection, air monitoring, decontamination and Site Safety Plans.
