HazMat Technician Training Program (24-hour, 32-hour, or 40-hour class)

If a quick response to a Hazardous Material release is required to save lives or minimize the damage to property or the environment, a fully equipped HazMat Team with employees trained to the HazMat Technician Level will be required. Hazardous Material Technician Training will focus on recognizing and evaluating a hazardous materials incident, organizing the response team, protecting response personnel, identifying and using response resources, implementing basic control measures and refining decision-making skills to protect the public and the environment.

Our HazMat Specialists will train your staff in topics that include chemical and physical properties of hazardous materials, toxicology, recognition and identification of hazardous materials, direct-reading instruments, Standard Operating Procedures, personnel protection and safety, and sources of information.

Our Instructional methods include computer simulation training and extensive hands on training for likely spill scenarios at your facilities. In addition to class lectures, our instructors use problem-solving sessions and exercises to emphasize each topic. Each team member will don Personal Protective Equipment and function under the Incident Management System.
